How to Adjust the Ensemble Size and Placement
Session Strings Pro allows you to adjust the ensemble size and placement of each instrument group: full ensemble, four violins, three violas, two cellos, and two basses. You can play full ensembles, mapped across the keyboard, or individual instrument groups. You can also choose between classic or pop instrument placements, or create your own custom placement.
To adjust the ensemble size and placement, follow these steps:
In the rack on the right, click on the wrench icon on the top left corner of the Session Strings Pro instrument to enter edit mode.
In edit mode, click on the Ensemble tab at the top of the interface.
You will see a graphical representation of the ensemble on the left, and a set of controls on the right.
To adjust the ensemble size, use the sliders below each instrument group name to change the number of players per group. You can have up to 11 players in total.
To adjust the ensemble placement, use the drop-down menu below each instrument group name to select a placement option: Classic (traditional seating), Pop (modern seating), Custom (user-defined seating), or Off (mute).
If you choose Custom placement, you can drag and drop each instrument group icon on the graphical representation of the ensemble to change its position. You can also use the Pan knob below each instrument group name to adjust its stereo panning.
