Tom VanDoren grew up playing youth hockey in New Jersey with several organizations including the original New Jersey Rockets (who later became Devils Youth). Coach Tom also played two years of Junior hockey with the New Jersey Golden Blades. He has been with Devils Youth for over twenty years where he has coached teams at every level, Mite through Midget, B through AAA. Most recently, Tom coached our Midget 18 AA team which qualified for NJYHL playoffs six out of seven seasons.

It's always tough to end the season, it never gets any easier. For me to celebrate the three seniors, Claire [Falknor], Christen [Westphal] and Lauren [Smith], it's not even about what they do on the field, which is all you guys see, but what they have done for our team and the culture of our team. That is something that is going to last way beyond this one game. We talked about on Friday the whole golf ball things and the dents, this is a dent for this program. That is something to keep in perspective too. This is going to help us in the big picture go farther.
"It was difficult coming off of last season not making the tournament, but I think what was different from this year is just having that true belief that we can win this tournament and that we're a good enough team. PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Stout baseball team won both ends of a doubleheader at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Friday by scores of 5-4 and 5-1. The losses for Platteville drops their record to 14-20 overall on the 2021 season and 8-16 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Stout improved to 16-16 overall and 12-12 in the WIAC. The Blue Devils are now 5-1 vs. the Pioneers this season. The two teams will play for a final time tomorrow, Saturday May 8th in Menomonie in a doubleheader. Platteville has one more home doubleheader scheduled this season, slated to take place next Saturday, May 15th vs. the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
