1080p is the earliest standard defining a progressive scan format that is defined both for film and television. It was published by the ITU-R in 1990 under the name 'progressive video'. The BT.601 standard was later added to the name. While it was implemented as a native standard for digital television, it could be easily applied to analogue television as the format had been standardized earlier than the analogue standard ITU-R BT.470 (480i60). While the first digital television broadcasts used the NTSC standard, the first digital TV sets were all 1080p progressive when the HDTV standard was being developed, and a number of early digital broadcasts used 1080p (for example, the European DVB-T2 broadcasts).
The first 1080p10 HDTV sets were released in 2010. In early 2012, 1080p10 was widely deployed in the U.S. satellite and cable TV industry with the launch of the Dish Network Hopper DVR. 1080p10 was also supported by the Xbox One and the Windows 8.1 update. The former was released on November 21, 2013, the latter on October 17, 2014. The Xbox One in the United States is a Blu-ray disc player that also includes 1080p video playback and a digital tuner. Many new TVs and HDTV receivers (especially those under the Sharp X1 and Panasonic) include 1080p10 support in the box.
1080pTV can be supplied to theatres for the same price as 1080i broadcasts, and 1080pTV will be available as a free (or included) cable or satellite subscription option, the same as with 1080i broadcasts. Given the relatively high cost of 1080pTV, it is likely that most regular consumers will be be satisfied with the 1080p and 1080i broadcasts for as long as the 1080p format is used in movies, rather than keeping their HDTVs and playing around with video format conversions. See the TV section above for more information about availability.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
